The annual Emma Crawford Coffin Races attract over 10,000 spectators. Arrive early, and see below for many ways to get to the races. Be aware of road closures from 9am–3pm—maps below.
The day’s schedule is:
Cash only for $5 shuttle (ATMs across Garden of the Gods Road). Park at 1675 Garden of the Gods Road—The DMV Parking Structure—and ride one of the shuttles that run continuously from 9 am–6 pm on race day for $5 cash round trip (kids 12 and under ride free). It will drop off/pick up from Hiawatha Gardens at 10 Old Mans Trail, 1 block from Downtown Manitou Springs.
Shuttles run continuous route and will arrive approximately every 15–20 minutes.
Mountain Metropolitan Transit and the City of Manitou Springs implemented zero-fare service along the entire Route 3 corridor connecting Downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and Manitou Springs.
Take the Mountain Metro #3 Bus from Downtown Colorado Springs or Old Colorado City for FREE! Buses run every 30 minutes and stop just a short walk from the races.
PikeRide (electric bike share) is offering a FREE bicycle valet located on the west side of Memorial Park—502 Manitou Avenue—from 9 am until 6 pm.
Ride your bike or a PikeRide to the event, leave it with our bike valet for free, and enjoy all festivities knowing your bike is safe and secure.
Cycling is encouraged! Bring your bike or a PikeRide ebike, get a free drink token for the after party!
Please retrieve your bike before 6:00 P.M.
Park for only $10 per space while supporting Manitou High School’s Wrestling Program. Head to 401 El Monte Place, and a high school student will park your car and take your $10 (cash only).
